Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, and the deals usually start days before. It is a good time to buy motorcycle gear, but not everything drops equally and not every “deal” is one. Here is how to buy sensibly.
What usually drops most
- Intercoms. One of the most regularly discounted categories, especially twin packs and models that have just been replaced.
- Action and 360 cameras. Brands clear the previous generation when a new one launches. Last year’s camera at a good discount is often a better buy than the new one at full price.
- Mid and high-end helmets in specific colours or graphics. Plain black rarely drops as much.
What not to buy just because it is cheap
- A helmet you have not tried on. If you have never worn that brand, the size may not match. Buy where returns are easy and wear it at home with the tags on for 20-30 minutes before deciding. Our full-face helmet guide explains sizing.
- A cheap helmet from a brand you do not know. Always check for ECE 22.06 approval in the listing and photos.
- Uncertified gloves. Look for EN 13594 on the label.
How to spot a fake deal
- Check the price history. Browser extensions and websites show a product’s Amazon price over recent months. If it has “dropped” to what it cost in October, it is not a deal.
- Ignore the crossed-out price. What matters is what it really cost in the previous weeks.
- Check the version. Some deals are on older models with similar names (50S vs 50R, or last generation’s camera).
- Check who is selling it. Ideally sold and dispatched by Amazon or the brand’s official store.
Our priority list
If you have to choose, this is the order we recommend:
- Helmet, if yours is over 5 years old or has taken a knock. And check it is road legal: motorcycle helmet law in the UK.
- Winter gloves, for the months ahead.
- Intercom, if you ride two-up or in a group.
- Camera, the treat.
What we are watching this Black Friday
We do not publish prices because they change by the hour. These are the products we suggest keeping an eye on; the button takes you to Amazon with the current price.
