Highlighted in orange: the winner of each measurable spec. Manufacturer data.
The chin bar: 180° vs flip-up
- Advant X: the chin bar rotates 180° to the back of your head. Open, the helmet works as a proper open-face, with no raised chin bar catching the wind.
- Strobe II: a classic flip-up chin bar that lifts and sits above your forehead.
If you will often ride with it open, the Advant X is more comfortable.
Weight: the Advant X wins
1,600 g for the Advant X against 1,700 g for the Strobe II, according to LS2.
Shell and materials
- Advant X: HPFC composite, two shell sizes.
- Strobe II: KPA thermoplastic, three shell sizes. Better proportioned in small sizes.
Pinlock: the Advant X wins
The Advant X comes with a Pinlock 120 Max Vision in the box; the Strobe II is Pinlock ready.
Price: the Strobe II wins
The Strobe II is the more affordable of the two.
