KPA polymer modular with P/J dual approval under ECE 22.06, three shell sizes, a sun visor and a metal micrometric buckle. Modular essentials at a good price.
Why it stands out
Premium modulars cost a lot of money. The Strobe II shows you do not need to spend that much to get the essentials:
- P/J dual approval under ECE 22.06: you can ride with the chin bar raised.
- Three shell sizes, rare at this price.
- Internal sun visor and a visor ready for a Pinlock Max Vision insert (sold separately).
- Chin bar that rotates 90 degrees and a metal micrometric buckle.
- Around 1,700 g according to LS2, typical for a modular.
What you give up
As with the LS2 Storm II, the weak point is noise at motorway speeds. Earplugs fix most of it. The lining is simpler than on a Shoei or Schuberth.
Our verdict
If you want a modular for everyday riding and the odd tour, it is the most sensible buy. We only recommend going up a level if you spend many hours on the motorway.
