Many motorcycle boots also come in a women’s version, with a narrower last and smaller sizes. The protection is the same: what changes is the fit.

What to look for

  1. Size and last: women’s versions are usually narrower at the heel and instep. If you have wide feet, a small men’s size may fit better.
  2. Shaft height: on tall boots, check the shaft closes well over your leg without squeezing your calf.
  3. EN 13634 certification, as for any motorcycle footwear.
  4. Sole thickness: if you only just reach the ground on your bike, a slightly thicker sole helps, but not at the cost of feel on the gear lever.

Women’s versions of the models we recommend

  • TCX Street 3 WP: there is a Street 3 Lady WP.
  • Alpinestars CR-X Drystar: there is a CR-X Women’s Drystar.
  • Alpinestars SMX-6 v3: there is a Stella SMX-6 v3.

On Amazon, search for the model with “Lady”, “Women’s” or “Stella”, or pick the small unisex size that matches your measurement.
