Highlighted in orange: the winner of each measurable spec. Manufacturer data.
Weight: LS2 clearly wins
The Storm II weighs around 1,400 g; the i71, around 1,700 g. That is 300 g, a huge difference. The LS2 weighs the same as helmets that cost twice as much.
Equipment: HJC wins
- The i71 comes with the Pinlock in the box; the Storm II is Pinlock ready, depending on the kit.
- The i71’s sun visor can be set in three positions.
- The i71 is made in three shell sizes.
Comfort and quietness: advantage HJC
The i71 inherits much of the premium RPHA 71’s design, with a nicer interior. The Storm II is a bit noisier at motorway speeds.
