Adventure helmet with an AIM+ shell, four shell sizes, an aerodynamic peak and a Pinlock EVO included. ECE 22.06 version. No internal sun visor.
Why it stands out
The Hornet ADV is Shoei’s benchmark adventure helmet: an AIM+ shell, four shell sizes and a peak designed not to catch the wind on the motorway. The current version is ECE 22.06 approved.
Key figures
- Four shell sizes, XS to XXXL.
- Pinlock EVO included.
- No internal sun visor: for glare, use sunglasses or an approved tinted visor.
- Shoei does not publish the weight on its European spec sheet; published reviews put it at around 1.6 kg.
Our verdict
If you ride an adventure bike and want the best helmet in the segment, this is our pick. If you need a sun visor, look at the LS2 Explorer or HJC i80.
