The big difference: Bluetooth
- Spider ST1: Mesh-only intercom. Its Bluetooth 5.2 is for your phone, music and sat nav, not for talking to other riders.
- 50S: Mesh and Bluetooth intercom, so it can also talk to other brands, usually in pairs.
If anyone in your group rides with Cardo or Midland, this decides it.
Battery
- Spider ST1: up to 18 hours on Mesh.
- 50S: up to 13 hours on Mesh.
According to Sena, the Spider lasts considerably longer.
Sound and controls
- Spider ST1: Sena HD speakers and a jog dial.
- 50S: Harman Kardon speakers and Sena’s jog dial.
