Both are waterproof, both are made for touring and both are leather. The difference is where you ride and how much you walk off the bike.

Highlighted in orange: the winner of each measurable spec. Manufacturer data.
Height: the Web protects higher up
The Web Gore-Tex is a tall boot covering much of the shin. The Forma Adventure Low is mid-height: it protects the ankle but leaves the leg freer.
Walking: the Forma wins
With its lower shaft, the Forma lets your ankle move more and walks better at stops, visits and photo breaks. Its dual-density off-road sole also grips off the tarmac.
Rain: a draw, with nuances
The Web uses Gore-Tex, the benchmark membrane. The Forma uses the brand’s own Drytex lining. Both are designed to keep your feet dry.
Fastening: different styles
- Forma: two adjustable buckles plus hook-and-loop. Firm, adjustable fit.
- Alpinestars: side zip with hook-and-loop. Quicker on and off.
Verdict
- Adventure bike, gravel and rides with lots of stops: Forma Adventure Low.
- A-roads and motorways, long trips in any weather: Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex.
